HI THERE
I’M STEPHANIE SANSOUCIE.
Welcome to my virtual home away from home! Through Think Travel Eat, I hope to connect with like-minded people around the globe and make a few new friends along the way.
My story starts the day that heart disease took my dad’s life just a few days away from his own retirement eligibility. As a daddy’s girl, I certainly wasn’t ready to say goodbye. Through the mess of love and loss, this unexpected tragedy taught me a valuable lesson about mortality:
Retirement may never come. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
With this realization, I took a deep breath and made a big decision. For the first time, I chose to fully embrace life and make the most of every moment. The best time to live is right now because this moment may be all we ever have. We can’t put things off for a retirement that may never come. It is time to shake off the fear and excuses that are holding us back from the life we want and deserve.
We all want something different from life. Me? I love the journey. I’m all in for exploring new places by land or by sea, learning about the world, capturing my experience and writing about it all. So, here we are. Through this blog, you’ll experience everything right along with me.
Blogging has been a long time hobby for me, and this journal is my way of capturing my memories and offering a little perspective for anyone else contemplating the same experience. Feel free to hang out, connect with me and explore the blog!
Memento mori. Memento vivere.

About Stephanie Sansoucie
By day, Stephanie is a successful digital executive who works tirelessly to create better experiences for people. By night, she’s always digging into something new and knocking items off the ol’ bucket list.
Stephanie first wrote her first serious program at 7 years old. She read the entire World Book of Knowledge encyclopedia set in grade school. A classic nerd, she practically lived in a multi-user dungeon after class during high school. In college, she mixed media for petri dishes; attempted to put a cadaver without proper paperwork to rest; and fixed a bunch of broken computers.
After college, she worked with a client who honestly believed he was Ricky Ricardo. She won her amateur radio general class ticket, and skipped messages across the ionosphere. She later traveled to Rwanda in partnership with UX for Good, Aegis Trust and the Kigali Genocide Memorial to help prevent genocide. All the while, she conducted design research and created digital experiences for some of the biggest companies in the world.
Now, Stephanie leads a digital user experience experience team within a technical consultancy. She’s also planning for a life of perpetual travel.
Every day, Stephanie intentionally chooses to fully embrace life and make the most of every moment. The best time to live is right now because this moment may be all we ever have.
